Meet The Team

Our team at RMS Titanic Inc. is made up of leading experts in conservation, stewardship, archival management, historical research, and museology—each dedicated to preserving and sharing the legacy of Titanic. We also partner with leading researchers and scientists across the globe, specializing in oceanography, geospatial mapping, underwater imaging, and historical research, to analyze and deepen our understanding of Titanic and the wrecksite.



Led by President Tomasina Ray, the team oversees over 5,500 authentic artifacts, conducts groundbreaking expeditions, and curates exhibitions seen by millions around the world. Together, we bring history to life with accuracy, care, and deep respect for the Ship and those who sailed aboard her.

From the Ocean Floor to the Exhibition: Preserving Titanic’s Legacy

Tomasina Ray, M.A.

President, RMS Titanic Inc.

As President of RMS Titanic Inc. and Director of Collections, Tomasina Ray oversees the exhibition, preservation, and study of over 5,500 authentic Titanic artifacts. She served as Project Lead for TITANIC Expedition 2024, RMS Titanic Inc.’s ninth expedition to the wrecksite. Tomasina and her dedicated team (a registrar, a conservator of record, and artifact restoration specialists) comprehensively document each artifact, conduct essential research, and safeguard the artifacts throughout their journeys to TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition venues all over the world.
Tomasina holds a Master of Arts degree in Museology from the University of Washington.

Shannon Baker, B.A.

Associate Registrar

Shannon Baker is the Associate Registrar at RMS Titanic Inc. Shannon has been caring for and preserving Titanic artifacts since 2022. She has facilitated multiple artifact installations around the world and is deeply committed to sharing the legacy of Titanic. On a day-to-day basis, she helps maintain the collection of over 5,500 artifacts through research, condition tracking, and exhibition preparation.  She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Anthropology.

Ross Mumford, B.A.  

Titanic Researcher

Ross Mumford is the Titanic Researcher and Content Specialist for RMS Titanic Inc., with over 13 years of experience researching and teaching Titanic history to audiences of all ages. He specializes in Edwardian culture, the Harland & Wolff Shipyard, and Titanic’s evolving legacy, with a focus on Belfast’s Titanic Quarter. Ross has received multiple research grants and presented his work at international conferences and symposia. He helped teach the first semester-long university course on Titanic and developed the first comprehensive Titanic curriculum for K–12 students. Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Music from Nebraska Wesleyan University, where he was a U.K. Summer Fulbright Scholar. He is a member of the Belfast Titanic Society, Titanic International Society, and Titanic Society of Atlantic Canada.

Alex Klingelhofer, M.S.

Conservator of Record

As the Conservator of Record, Alex Klingelhofer has cared for the RMS Titanic Inc. collection for 12 years. She is a nationally recognized museum professional with a rare combination of curatorial and conservation experience. Alex has assisted regional and national museums and cultural organizations including the American Alliance of Museums, Heritage Preservation, and Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Alex earned a Master of Science in Art and Archaeological Conservation from Southampton University (U.K.) and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean, and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  

Jeffrey Taylor, M.P.I.A.

Collections Specialist

Jeffrey works as the Collections Specialist for RMS Titanic Inc. His prior experience is in museum collections. Jeff earned a Master of Pacific and International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Studies and Japanese Language from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
